Ever felt like teaching hospital medicine is out of reach? We’re here to change that. At UW Veterinary Care (UWVC), you don't need years of specialty experience to make a huge impact—just a passion for patient care and a desire to learn.

We are looking for two Veterinary Technicians to join our Intermediate Care Ward (IMCW) team. You’ll care for rewarding inpatient cases, build your skill set step-by-step, and collaborate with a welcoming team of clinicians, technicians, and students who love to share what they know. • Top-of-License Practice: We trust and empower our technicians to perform advanced patient assessments, run complex diagnostics, administer critical care therapies, and assist in specialized interventions.
  • Supportive & Collaborative Culture: Work alongside dedicated doctors, veterinary students, and a passionate nursing team that has your back.
  • Teaching & Mentorship: Share your knowledge and shape the future of veterinary medicine by guiding DVM students in a collaborative learning environment.

  • Be a Badger: Join an incredible community on the UW–Madison campus with perks that go beyond the clinic—including annual hospital gear giveaways, fun team building and community events, campus discounts, and the proud tradition of Badger culture!

Flexible scheduling options available (Night/Weekend focus with cross-coverage / backup to Emergency & Critical Care as needed). Schedules are provided at least two weeks in advance. This position is available at 90%–100% FTE (36–40 hours per week).
