Job Summary:

Join the Department of Radiology's growing team in a rewarding and partially remote role as a Post-Award Accountant! This position will support post-award activities related to financial summaries, salary allocations and corrections, review of salary and non-salary expenses for allowability/allocability, and will serve as a resource for PIs for post-award grant activities, such as progress report preparation and grant modifications. This position will interact with PIs, department finance contacts, and research related activities. The incumbent will work under the direction of the post award financial manager.

Responsibilities:

Works directly with principal investigator and research staff to budget, monitor expenditures, and reconcile financial data for sponsored programs. May directly process and/or approve accounting transactions such as cost transfers, procurement, sub award management, and financial processing related to sponsored project management. May review and approve transactions on behalf of an intermediate unit or center.
  • 45% Assists principal investigators with financial management of sponsored program budgets and directs day-to-day fiscal transactions
  • 15% Prepares and processes financial reporting and/or invoicing information
  • 15% Provides expertise and advice related to procurement and allowable charges
  • 25% Reviews financial expenditures for accuracy on sponsored grants and contracts

Qualifications:

Required
- At least 1 year of post-award accounting experience.
- At least 1 year of grants administration.

Preferred
- Experience working in a healthcare and/or higher education environment.

Full Time: 100%

This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.

Salary:

Minimum $68,000 ANNUAL (12 months)
Depending on Qualifications
The starting salary for the position is $68,000 but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Additional Information:

University sponsorship is not available for this position.
