Job Summary:
The Department of Radiology, UW-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking a full-time radiologist, interested in pursuing an academic career in Pediatric Interventional Radiology at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor on the CHS (Clinical Health Sciences) Track or CT (Clinician Teacher (CT) Track.
The American Family Children's Hospital is a 111-bed comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical center, and Level 1 pediatric trauma unit adjoined to the UW Health Medical Center. Pediatric Interventional Radiology offers the full complement of services ranging from interventional oncology, transplant interventions, vascular anomalies, to fetal interventions. In early 2025, a state-of-the-art dedicated Interventional Radiology suite will open to complement the existing hybrid operative angiography suite and sedation procedure center embedded within the Pediatric Radiology department.

The successful applicant will provide patient care at UW Health approved locations, participate in resident and medical teaching within the scope of the medical practice. The successful applicant will participate in the administrative, and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.
For appointments hired on the Clinician Teacher (CT) Track:
The successful applicant will provide patient care at UW Health approved locations, participate in resident and medical teaching within the scope of the medical practice.
Responsibilities:
The Pediatric Interventional Radiologist will primarily focus 80% of their clinical responsibilities in all modalities of Pediatric Interventional Radiology which include all pediatric interventions, ranging from pediatric vascular malformation diagnosis and treatment, interventional oncology, musculoskeletal interventions, vascular and nonvascular interventions. These duties will be in the Pediatric Radiology Section and secondarily in the Interventional Radiology Section.
The successful applicant will participate in administrative, and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. Clinical or basic research is required. Department teaching assignments include medical students, residents, fellows, and other professionals. Participate in departmental outreach as appropriate. Participate in departmental, school, university, and professional service appropriate to the faculty rank. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.
