Job Summary:
Provide instruction in statistics courses according to the timetable schedule. Prepare syllabus, hold office hours, assign, review, grade, and return homework, quizzes and examinations. Hold final exams, assess and determine final grades. Assign duties to teaching assistant.
Responsibilities:
Facilitates classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction and assists with instructional development and design for a single course or series of courses within an academic discipline to support the delivery of quality instruction. Provides for-credit instruction in formats such as classroom, online and/or laboratory settings, including grading. Serves as an instructor of record.
- 90% Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
- 5% Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
- 5% Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations

Education:
Required
Master's Degree
A degree at least one level above the level of instruction
Ph.D. preferred.
Qualifications:
At least one year teaching Statistics at the University level required.
Work Type:
Part Time: 66.7%
It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.
Appointment Type, Duration:
Terminal, 4 month appointment.
This position has the possibility to be extended or converted to an ongoing appointment based on need and/or funding
Salary:
Minimum $50,000 ACADEMIC (9 months)

Additional Information:
There is a possibility this position can be extended in subsequent semesters to teach one or more courses within the department. This position may become renewable if there is a need for an ongoing appointment.
The courses may include introductory statistics (Stat 301, 324, 371), introductory data science (Stat 240, 340), mathematical statistics (Stat 311, 312), or other introductory, intermediate, or advanced level courses offered by the department.
