Job Summary:

The Director of BEL & Pre-College Programs at the Wisconsin School of Business provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and programming direction to support students from their pre-college experience through their time in the Undergraduate program Office. As a member of the Wisconsin School of Business Program Leadership Team, the director collaborates across units, manages program operations, and builds partnerships with educators, community organizations, and industry leaders to expand program impact. In addition to leading pre-college programming, the director oversees the Business Emerging Leaders (BEL) Scholarship Program, guiding students throughout their college journey. This includes developing scholarship application materials, providing ongoing student support, and enhancing the student experience through collaboration. The role requires strong leadership, relationship-building, and organizational skills to foster a welcoming and supportive environment that empowers students, strengthens educational pathways, and increases access to business education.

Responsibilities:

Provides strategic direction, programming leadership, operational oversight, and evaluation for pre-college programming in support of preparing individuals to be successful in their higher education endeavors. Develops and fosters relationships with constituents in support of the program and community partners.
  • 30% Directs strategic planning initiatives and establishes pre-college program objectives to ensure appropriate use of financial, administrative, and staffing resources and alignment with the strategic plan
  • 10% Determines pre-college program staffing needs
  • 10% Develops operating policies and procedures to comply with regulations, institutional policies, and pre-college program unit objectives
  • 10% Develops and oversees the program budget
  • 5% Advises institutional or divisional leadership on pre-college program services and student needs
  • 10% Serves as the unit liaison to internal and external stakeholder groups providing pre-college program information
  • 5% Identifies, promotes, and maintains internal and external partnerships
  • 20% Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees

Qualifications:

Required:
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in education (K-12 or higher education) or youth program management.

Preferred:
- Experience designing, implementing, and evaluating pre-college and/or college student-facing programs.
- Experience overseeing scholarship programs, including developing application materials and supporting recipients throughout their academic journey.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including educators, community organizations, and industry leaders.
- Experience supervising and mentoring staff, student workers, or interns.

Full Time: 100%

This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.

Salary:

Minimum $90,000 ANNUAL (12 months)
