Job Summary:

The Department of Surgery at The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is currently recruiting for a Dentist to provide quality dental care and to support the Departments dentistry on-call coverage commitments for UW Health.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of this position will include providing dental on call coverage for the physically connected Emergency Departments of the University of Wisconsin Hospital and the American Family Children's Hospital (95%). Care of dental injuries and infections will constitute the majority of consults, while an infrequent inpatient consult may be required (5%).

Qualifications:

Currently in possession of, or eligible to obtain, an unrestricted license to practice Dentistry in Wisconsin

For an appointment at Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor rank on CT Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CT Track.

License/Certification:

Additional Information:

Located on an isthmus between two lakes, Madison is the capital city of the state of Wisconsin. Fresh off being named Livability is best U.S. city to live in for 2022, it is the second largest city in the state, with a city population of approximately 260,000 and regional population of over 1 million.

University sponsorship is not available for this position, including transfers of sponsorship. The selected applicant will be responsible for ensuring their continuous eligibility to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, a foreign national authorized to work in the United States without the need of an employer sponsorship) on or before the effective date of appointment. This position is an ongoing position that will require continuous work eligibility.
