Job Summary:

This position assists in the administration of clinical trials conducted through the Osteoporosis Clinical Research Program as a study coordinator. Related activities are subject recruitment, including direct phone contact, obtaining informed consent, and performing testing to determine eligibility. This will include bone density testing, collecting blood samples, administering and scoring questionnaires, obtaining general medical history and compiling data. Study conduct includes scheduling visits, acquiring defined tests, and managing data.

Responsibilities:

Coordinates clinical research studies, performing related tasks and activities. Collects information, recruits, screens, selects, determines eligibility, and enrolls study participants and ensures subjects follow the research protocol.
  • 5% Schedules logistics, determines workflows, and secures resources for a defined clinical research trial(s)
  • 60% Recruits, screens, selects, determines eligibility and enrolls trial participants, collects information, and answers questions under supervision of a medically licensed professional. May perform basic medical assessments after completion of required training/certification, such as collecting vital signs, obtaining weight, and performing phlebotomy
  • 15% Manages research workflow components, collects, prepares, processes, and submits participant data and samples to appropriate entities, adhering to research protocols
  • 5% Identifies work unit resources needs and manages supply and equipment inventory levels
  • 10% Serves as an initial point of contact for clinical research participants and clinical staff, providing information regarding research procedures, expectations, and informational inquiries. Ensures participants follow the research protocol and alerts Principal Investigator of issues
  • 5% Assists in composing and organizing research reports and manuscripts to provide updates on unit objectives. Prepares data for presentation, and perhaps delivery at professional research meetings.

Education:

Preferred
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred focus in the biological sciences or related field

Qualifications:

Experience working in a research or clinical lab conducting experiments and evaluating data is preferred.

Work Type:

Full or Part Time: 70% - 100%

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Minimum $41,500 ANNUAL (12 months)
