Job Summary:
The Workday Enterprise Solutions Team (WEST) is responsible for the administration and optimization of Workday and related systems for Finance, Human Resources, and Research Administration across the Universities of Wisconsin System, while focusing on people, processes, and technology. This team will concentrate on continuous improvement and system maintenance, release enhancements, support, and strategic integration of the Workday ERP and related systems to achieve business objectives.
Senior Business Analysts will support one or more teams within the WEST team. This position will concentrate on both the Compensation and Payroll modules on the HR team. Activities may include leading the review, redesign and optimization of complex business processes, creation of complex custom calculations, security policies, reports, and other system functionality, including ancillary and bolt-on IT systems. Senior Business Analysts will be responsible for system maintenance, design, configuration, testing and the successful implementation of Workday releases. They will also evaluate additional features and systems to enhance user experience, compliance, research and analyze data patterns to troubleshoot or highlight areas of improvement, write reports and develop requirements for integrations or other technical solutions. The Senior Business Systems Analyst serves a vital role within WEST.
This position is a full-time, fully remote position.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Provides direction for the mapping of business processes using advanced process-mapping methodologies
- Designs, develops, and implements complex data reporting and business intelligence systems
- Performs complex data analyses and reporting
- Serves as a subject matter expert to institutional and unit leadership on critical technology issues
- Maintains system configuration, performs testing, supports end users and follows WEST team standards.
- Serves as a project lead for lower level IT staff providing guidance on specific project goals, outcomes, and technological components
- Provides guidance to lower level staff in the design, development, and implementation of data reporting and business intelligence systems
- Develops and assesses opportunities for new unit staff training opportunities
- Makes recommendations in the selection of technology solutions to align with business strategies
- Provides advanced procedural and technical guidance to unit staff regarding technology usage and management

Compensation:
Well qualified applicants can expect to earn between $104,726 - $126,866, with final salary based on experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications:
2+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst
Ability to perform complex data collection and analysis
Attention to detail with the ability to synthesize data and information into presentations and materials
Experience with methods to analyze business needs and recommend relevant solutions including policy, process, or system improvements.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst with progressively increasing responsibilities
3+ years experience working with a Workday / cloud ERP system maintenance
Experience working in HR &/or Cross-Functional teams
Experience working in a higher education setting
Experience working with an ERP system implementation
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business or Related Field required
