Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Director of Strength & Conditioning for Olympic Sports, act as a Coach for the Division's Strength & Conditioning Program in accordance with NCAA, Big Ten, and University regulations.

Responsibilities:

- Lead strength and conditioning related activities for the women's basketball team
- Instruct strength training and conditioning related techniques
- Ensure safety and maintenance of the training facilities and equipment
- Computerized data entry and monitoring of student-athlete workouts in order to maximize performance
- Supervision of student employees
- Other duties assigned by the Director of Strength & Conditioning for Olympic Sports.

Education:

Required
Bachelor's Degree

Qualifications:

- One (1) year of college or professional strength and conditioning coaching experience required.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of college or professional basketball strength and conditioning experience is preferred.
- Other qualifications include: the ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups and administrators, faculty, staff and students; the ability to be able to develop and implement innovative approaches and solutions; ability to work well independently and in teams; and ability to be flexible in accepting new responsibilities.
- National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) or Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) certification preferred.

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Additional Information:

The title of Assistant or Associate Director will be determined based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.

Conditions of Appointment: This is a 100% Limited staff appointment. Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is also included. Successful applicants are responsible for ensuring their eligibility to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, a foreign national authorized to work in the United States without need of employer sponsorship) on or before the effective date of appointment.
