Job Summary:

Teach Chem 327 or Chem 329 (Fundamentals of Analytical Science).

Duties include:
- Preparing course materials
- Presenting lectures
- Preparing, administering, and grading exams and homework
- Holding office hours
- Other related duties

This is a 50% appointment for the Fall 2026 semester.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
  • Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
  • Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance

Compensation:

The minimum salary for this position is $50,000 per academic (9-month) year, full time (100%). The actual salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and prorated based on the appointment duration and percentage.

Required Qualifications:

Previous experience teaching Chemistry is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience teaching chemistry at the college/university level is preferred.

Education:

PhD in Chemistry or related fields is required
