Job Summary:
In addition to achieving the milestones outlined in the Structural Heart Fellowship Curriculum, the incumbent will practice clinical patient care at UW Health approved locations; participate with clinical research endeavors; participation in the clinical teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. The incumbent will participate in the Division of Cardiology Grand Rounds and Cath Lab didactic series in addition to other continuing professional education activities.
Responsibilities:
-11 months of training in structural heart interventions and procedure care at the UW Hospital Main campus.
-One half-day ambulatory clinic per week minimum with a focus on interventional cardiology and structural heart care.
-Equivalent of 0.2 FTE (8 weeks or approximately 40 business days) of general cardiology clinical service work at UW Hospital or UPH-Meriter. Clinical service assignment will be based on individual's expertise, interests, performance and operational need.
-Present one abstract at a national conference and publish one manuscript.
-Participate in weekly cath lab didactics for general cardiology and interventional fellows.
-Participate in STEMI/PERT/shock (home) call on a 1:3 weekly rotational basis with the interventional fellows.
-Rotate on weekend rounding for all cath procedure service patients on 1:3 basis
