Job Summary:
The Wisconsin Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team. This position will be responsible for coordinating multiple activities critical to the Center’s operations, including:
Overseeing the ADRC Resource Request Process, including triaging new requests, gathering feasibility information, preparing presentations, and ushering requests through the approval and fulfillment process.
Managing logistics for key ADRC activities, including facilitating the development of high-quality reports and presentations for leadership and coordinating meeting logistics including travel arrangements for leadership.
Contributing project support to the ADRC Quality Improvement and Compliance Managers
Providing scheduling and office management support
The ADRC Operations Coordinator is an academic staff position in the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) at UW-Madison. The ADRC is a highly successful National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded research center focused on improving early detection of Alzheimer's disease, identifying risk and protective factors, and understanding the disease process.
This position will report to the ADRC Quality Improvement Manager and will work with a variety of leaders and staff in the ADRC. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to collaborate effectively, and a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables. At this time, we are hiring the position at 0.5 FTE, with a potential opportunity to increase in the future.
This position is full or part-time, 50%-100%
This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.
This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.

Key Job Responsibilities:
- Establishes, monitors, coordinates, and controls project budgets versus actual expenditures and budget reporting
- Manages ADRC calendar (including leadership and project meetings)
- Provides office management support (including ordering office supplies, coordinating with Campus Facilities teams, distributing mail, etc.)
- Develops, enhances, and maintains operational standards and systems to support project teams
- Develops, schedules, coordinates, and prioritizes project work plans in accordance with specifications and resource limitations
- Analyzes data and trends, compiles progress reports, and provides appropriate recommendations or conclusions
- Serves as the initial point of contact for the project(s), serves on committees, and attends meetings representing the interests of the project(s)

Compensation:
The starting salary for the position is $54,000 annually; but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Effective July 1, 2024, the U.S. Department of Labor Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) requires that positions earning less than $43,888 annually be considered non-exempt under FLSA provisions for overtime. Based on these rules, if the person selected for this recruitment will earn less than the new salary threshold at July 1, 2024 ($43,888 annually), they will be an academic staff non-exempt employee, will be paid hourly and will receive overtime compensation for any hours worked over 40 in a workweek.
