One of the most rewarding aspects for me working at UW–Madison has been this ability to collaborate with colleagues who are as excited and passionate and enthusiastic about taking care of students. The energy from students is contagious. They're at a point in their lives where they're really wanting to see things being done differently. I think that helps us all stay innovative and looking at different initiatives that we can work on together.

One of the things that I'm most proud of in my role as executive chef is the teams that I work with, the teams that I collaborate with. The people that I work with make it easy to come to work every day.

What keeps me motivated about working at UW–Madison is the impact that I can make. I think I'm a very mission and value driven person, and knowing that my work is contributing towards the greater good of the Madison community and beyond is something that keeps me coming back and keeps me engaged in my work.

It's really fascinating just to hear what a reach our university has. Not only within our local community, but across the world as a whole and just the respect and the reputation that this university has.

University is a great place to work. A great environment. Beautiful places. Beautiful buildings. A lot of history. Something different every day. You get to meet someone different every day. You learn something different every day.

Juan A. Lieutenant, Special Events

I'm extremely proud to work for UW–Madison. Off hours when you're maybe coming to a sporting event here on campus and you're with friends and family, getting to be like, hey, that's where I work. It's a beautiful campus and I'm very proud to be part of it.
