Job Summary:

The Department of Urology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) in Madison, Wisconsin is recruiting a pediatric urologist to care for patients at regional sites outside Dane County. We are seeking a fellowship-trained pediatric urologist to deliver state-of-the art medical and surgical care, while advancing the field and training the next generation of physicians. Candidates on the CHS track are expected to establish an academic program and disseminate their findings through peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national professional meetings. Service to the institution and profession are also expected. Madison, the capital city of Wisconsin, is situated on several scenic lakes, and is frequently cited as one of the best cities in which to live. It offers an excellent environment and a wide variety of cultural and recreational opportunities. A competitive salary and fringe benefit package is provided.

  •   This position is part-time, 20-50%

  •   This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location.

  • This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.

  • Applicants for this position will be considered for the following titles: Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, Clinical Professor. The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist.

Today, we retain the principles of the past and have moved our efforts toward providing state-of-the-art urologic care for present and future generations.

Our highly acclaimed program focuses on cutting-edge surgical care for adult and pediatric urologic patients while conducting innovative research and training the next generation of academic urologists. Our Department consists of all major subspecialties, including Urologic Oncology, Endourology, Men’s Health, Pediatric Urology, Women’s Pelvic Wellness, Andrology/Infertility, and Urinary Reconstruction programs.

Compensation:

  • Negotiable, 12 month

Required Qualifications:

  •  Completion of Urology Residency

  • Completion Pediatric Urology Fellowship by start date

  • Must have or be eligible for a Wisconsin Medical License

  • Board-certified or board eligible in Pediatric Urology by start date of position

  • Must be eligible for enrollment as a UW Health billing provider and all necessary hospital privileges, by the start date of the position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on CT Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CT Track.

Education:

MD or DO, or equivalent required
