The members of the Division of Endocrinology & Diabetes provide excellent clinical care, education, and research through collaboration and an established interdisciplinary team. Board-certified pediatric endocrinologists, certified diabetes instructors, nurses and nurse practitioners, nutritionists, and physicians in training blend understanding, sensitivity, and concern for each child with state-of-the-art medical care. Children and adolescents with a full spectrum of endocrinology concerns are evaluated and cared for, including type 1 and type 2 diabetes; growth and puberty development issues; obesity and polycystic ovary syndrome; transgender health; thyroid, adrenal, and pituitary gland disorders; and disorders of mineral and carbohydrate metabolism. Division members are involved in robust research programs including clinical, transitional, and basic research in areas related to diabetes, endocrinology, and other metabolic disorders. Members also provide clinical and research mentoring and education to fellows in its ACGME-accredited and NIH-T32 supported three-year subspecialty fellowship program.

The Department of Pediatrics is a vibrant academic department comprising more than 200 faculty members in 16 subspecialty divisions. The department promotes and enhances the health of children through outstanding clinical care, exemplary education of pediatric trainees, performance of cutting-edge research, and vigorous advocacy. Our faculty enjoy a robust infrastructure of services as well as the opportunity to contribute to our world-class $40.3M research portfolio since 2015, the Department of Pediatrics has ranked among the Top 20 pediatrics departments receiving NIH funding, according to Blue Ridge Institute for Medical Research.

- The successful applicant will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the SMPH. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.
