Job Summary:

The Wisconsin School of Business seeks a full-time, nine-month, tenure track appointment to begin August 19, 2024, or later. We are looking for innovative researchers working in Sustainability and Social Responsibility (including ESG), broadly defined, and related fields. In addition to teaching graduate and undergraduate students in the areas of Sustainability and Social Responsibility, the position entails scholarly research, outwardly-facing activities (e.g., interactions with industry and media), and service activities. The position is also broadly responsible for programmatic development and shaping the School's direction in the sustainability space. While the position will ultimately reside in a single academic department (https://wsb.wisc.edu/faculty-research/academic-departments) based on the candidate's research program, the area of sustainability/responsibility has a presence across all programs at the Wisconsin School of Business, including a Graduate Certificate in Business, Environment and Social Responsibility. The School has prioritized this area and is working closely with industry to enhance the sustainability/responsibility programming offered throughout the school.

Responsibilities:

- Create and maintain a strong program of research
- Provide classroom and individual instruction for undergraduate and graduate degree-seeking students
- Contribute to the intellectual and academic life of the department. University and community service will be expected as appropriate
- Elevate the intellectual accomplishments of the Wisconsin School of Business through research, grant writing, industry outreach, and media interaction in the domain of sustainability/ social responsibility and related areas.

Education:

Required
Ph.D. in any area of Business, Economics, Environmental Engineering, or related field

Qualifications:

Well qualified applicants will have demonstrated high quality research with publications in top tier journals, and will have demonstrated excellence in teaching.

Candidates for tenure rank will possess academic credentials to qualify for a tenured faculty appointment at UW-Madison.
